History

Chris Le Blanc was born in a small town in the south-west of Germany and began playing classical piano at the age of seven.

He studied music and sound engineering in Duesseldorf. After graduating his diploma in 1989 he moved to Munich.

In 1993 he joined the highly successful production team responsible for Haddaway's first two albums and this collaboration resulted in world-wide hits such as “What is Love?”, “Life”, “Rock my Heart” and “Fly Away”.

Together with producer / engineer Gary Jones, Chris did remixes for Pet Shop Boys, Thalia, Emilio Estefan and Bizarre Inc. As well as this, they produced for Thea Austin, the former singer of Snap, and Kami & Purple Schulz, artists who topped the charts in the late 90's.

Always keen to expand his production repertoire and skills, he started writing film and television scores for German Television (ARD, ZDF and Bavaria Film).

Fascinated by Ibiza's multi-cultural ambience and by the island's spiritual dimension, Chris and his family moved there in 2002. Ibiza also offered global musical influences and a vital club scene which Chris found inspiring for his artistic and professional development. He embarked on several projects such as Chris Le Blanc, Sunyata Project (with Roberto Sol), Ocean Deep (with Ingmar Hansch from Movin´ Sounds Ibiza) and Miss Luna (resident DJ at Nassau Beach / Ibiza). Songs produced under these names have been included on many compilation albums including; Café del Mar, Sony Erotic Lounge, Sony Dream Dance, Km5, Claude Challe, Klassik Lounge, Bar Lounge Classic, Bambuddha Grove, Ministry of Sound, and Islands, amongst others.

Along with other producers, such as Xavier Naidoo, Chris produced and arranged a track on the album “Farben Meiner Welt” by Yvonne Catterfeld. This album went gold in 2005 and platinum in 2006.

More recently, Chris has produced compilation albums for Hotel Atzaro / Ibiza, Tiburon / Formentera, Jades / Duesseldorf, and Hadi Teherani / Hamburg. He continues to write film-scores in partnership with composer / producer Axel Kroell (Wet Wet Wet, Blow Monkeys, Grandmaster Flash).
